Anyone else have issues with the new version of firefox? I have been having problems with my internet being slow or so i thought. I ran a speed test at speakeasy in firefox and internet explorer and the results are that firefox is not working right anymore
These test were done at the same time.
Firefox Last Result: Download Speed: 9851 kbps (1231.4 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 7345 kbps (918.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
IE Last Result: Download Speed: 30254 kbps (3781.8 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 7717 kbps (964.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Anyone else having this problem? I hate ie but might have to use it for awhile till mozella fixes it.
I am on my laptop on wireless and running the tests were almost identical im about to go to work but when I get home Ill test it wired on my desktop and see. One thing is check and see if you are using plug-ins as you may have one that is incompatible with 3.6 also try updating flash but remember there are 2 versions one for Firefox and one for IE so use IE and download it with it then do the same thing for Firefox I have found that sometimes it does make a big difference.

People still use IE and firefox in a residential setting? firefox is cool for linux use, but windows users need to get with the times and switch to chrome thank me later... if you hate on it, you just haven't given it enough time EVE Guild Wars Call of Duty MW2 MMATycoon OGame
no i hate chrome and most things google. for search i prefer ask.com over google gives me much better answers. and i will stick to my firefox thank you very much. speed tests in chrome and firefox are the same so firefox is nicer for me. i also hate the chrome layout i like menu bars showing at the top of my screen. i like seeing my tools. instead of hunting around for the sweet spot to open them up. and i remember the acronym for the people problem being called PICNIC problem in chair not in computer click my egg so my dragon lives
chrome is more secure, takes up less screen space, can access cached pages over 3x faster, uses less computer resources, allows each tab to act independently so that if a page crashes only that tab crashes and not the entire browser... the layout takes getting used to but i've never talked to anyone who has given it a legitimate unbiased chance and not liked it, or at the minimum was fine with it given all the other advantages. As far as ask.com vs google, the number of indexed pages that google search has vs ask.com is so much greater that there is no comparison. I think if you give it a proper chance (read: use it as the main browser for multiple weeks) then you will change your mind. EVE Guild Wars Call of Duty MW2 MMATycoon OGame
